Regional Reduced Fare Permit

For riders with a disability

What you'll need:

  • A copy of your photo ID. This can be:
    • A driver's license.
    • A passport.
    • A state-issued photo ID.
  • State or federal documentation of disability. This can be:
    • Certification from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) of a disability of at least 40%.
    • Documentation of Social Security Disability Benefits or Supplemental Security Income Benefits due to disability.
    • A valid Medicare card issued by the Social Security Administration.
    • A document showing current participation in a vocational career program through the Washington State Individual Educational Program (IEP).
    • A disabled parking permit issued by the Washington Department of Licensing.
    • A valid ADA paratransit eligibility letter or card.
  • A clear color photo of your face, to put on the permit. Follow the same guidelines you would for a passport photo, including:
    • Photo must have been taken within the past 6 months.
    • Photo size should be 2" x 2".
    • Head must be between 1" and 1⅜" in size, from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
    • Use a plain white or off-white background.
    • Have someone else take the photo. (No selfies.)
    • Take off your eyeglasses for the photo.
    • No filters or other digital editing.

All documents should be in electronic format (.jpg, .png, .pdf, .docx) so you can attach them to your online application.
